Mark Stephen

Mark was appointed to the Howden Group Board and Chair of the Audit Committee (later the Audit and Risk Committee) on 17 May 2018. He also chairs the Remuneration Committee.

Mark has over 35 years’ experience of advising and working with insurance boards, including how they adapt to the changing regulatory and business landscape. He was previously a Consulting Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he was the UK insurance industry leader. He qualified as a chartered accountant, was previously Non Executive Chairman of TransRe London Limited and was previously Non Executive Director of Pension Insurance Corporation PLC. He is currently a Non Executive Director of Openwork Holdings Limited and Fidelis Underwriting Limited.
